When humans finally colonised Mars it quickly became a magnet for large scale mining. A green mineral named Bogzite was what they were after. When the Bogzite ran out the companies pulled out.
Mars was left riddled with mines and scattered with explosive devices left behind by the miners. After many years of campaigning mining companies were forced to return to Mars to clean up.
However in the intervening years life had started to develop on Mars. Bacteria left behind by humans had mutated into semi-intelligent life forms. Your mission is to clean up Mars. Collect and dispose of explosive devices, clear the bacterial mutants and mine any remaining deposits of Bogzite.
You will be working in zero gravity, manoeuvring with a jet pack is tricky at first but short bursts on the thrusters will get you about and stop you bumping in to things.
There is no breathable atmosphere on Mars so oxygen levels need to be kept topped up, fortunately there are oxygen pumps located in most mines, you can tether to these when you need more.
You carry a bazooka for dealing with the bacteria this fires a rocket over which you have some directional control however try not to destroy things that you need.
The explosive devices need to be collected and handled carefully before dropping them into bomb disposal skips. When you collect a device a health meter will display how close it is to detention. Sometimes it is easier to move the skip closer to the bomb, to do this a magnet and tether line has been provided.
In some mines rock has to be cleared out of the way to allow access to other areas, you can do this with your bazooka and rockets.
